“Dreaming” – Elm
A relief sculpture approx 30” by 18”. This scene represents a young woman looking over the sea, imagining a she does, the clouds entwined over the moon as lovers. Heavily symbolic, the water represents femininity, the rocks masculinity but as the water surrounds and erodes the rocks they become as one, just as the lovers.

These pieces were generously funded by the Yorkshire Museum Trust (www.yorkmuseumstrust.org.uk).
